Week Two Tansactions and Predictions:

       First Transaction

After learning more of the stock words and how they can relate within each other, I bought 150 stocks for Bank of America, at $6.64. Mr. Kapptie was talking about how banks in the stock market right now are good to invest in, so I took his advice. As before I had Wells Fargo stock, and that stock always seems to be making me money. I used my experience with the Wells Fargo stock and invested in Bank of America.
I plan on keeping this stock for a long time, and using it as an investment. If this stock is anything like my Wells Fargo stock it will continue to make me money throughtout the day. The stock so far has been positive when the Dow Jones opens and positive when the Dow Jones closes during the day. When I purchased this stock I compared the price I was buying it at, to what the 52 week range price was. I bought this stock at one of its lowest prices. The lowest for the 52 week range was $6.00. I only spent $0.64 on the stocks themselves from the lowest price. This is therefore why I believe that this stock has been doing so well.
As of right now, the stock is buying and selling at $6.25. This is a drop in my price and therefore currently I am losing money. My predictions for this company, is that when comparing it to other banking companies such as Wells Fargo all the bank companies are making the stock holders money. I predict that within the next few months the stock price will go up to around $8.00. I feel this will happen because people are still wanting to put money into banks so that the FDIC helps them recover any lost money. They are also doing this to gain the interest that the banks are giving away with the different account options.

Second Transaction

As for my other transaction, I sold my NIKE stocks. The stocks had too many competitors and they were not making the significant amount of money that I was hoping they would. Nike was competing against Adias and Under Armor. These other companies were selling for lower amounts, but the stock holders were making higher amounts of money. When I bought the stock I bought it at $73.85, which is significantly lower than what they are selling for now. But when comparing the price I bought them at to the 52 week range I realize that I bought the stock when it was almost at its highest selling point. Therefore when I did decide to sell it, I waited until it was at a higher point than what I bought it at. The price I sold it at was $75.46. Waiting until the stock was at a higher cost, helped me make money.
My predicitions for selling this company are that with Adidas and Under Armors new mottos and items that they are releasing almost daily, Nike just cant compete and keep up with them anymore. Nike was only big for their shoes, where as people are wanting to buy more Under Armor products just because they are more appealing and appeal to younger generations for style, and for popularity. Nike was not a good stock and selling it was smart. This stock was a trade, and i didnt plan on keeping it for long. I wanted to see how it was going to relate with the other sport companies and their stock value. As I learned Nike doesnt compete and was not a good stock to buy.

Week One Transactions and Predictions:

One of my transactions that I made this week is investing stocks in Apple. I bought this stock because of all the new releases of the new electronics and versions that they are releasing soon. I also chose to buy this stock instead of its compeitors of Google. Granted Google's stocks are a higher price right now, but in the long run Apple is not competing with anyone with The IPad that they have. When they release the new IPad version and the new IPhone 5 they will again have no compeitors. Apple is king of electronics in my opinion, because no one else at this point is offering similiar products to what they have. I predict that this stock in a year will roughly go up about $100. This is related to releases of new electronics. Within the months until Christmas, I predict that Apple stocks will go up about $30 or $40. I feel this will happen because with the Christmas season approaching Apple has a demand to make and release more of their products. This will in turn raise the amount of money that the stock holders will be making.

September 11th

I believe that they won. They attacked the world trade centers, and the pentagon to ruin our economy. Look at our economy now. You can't tell me they didn't succeed in ruining our economy. We as a nation have the highest rate for unemployement. Tax payers are buying less and less, and the economy is only going to continue getting worse. I can't tell you that our country hasn't tried to help pull us out of the recession faster, but what they have tried hasn't worked. The war our country is fighting, The War on Terror, is a war that we as a nation, have already lost. They wanted our economy to downfall, and they made it happen. Our nation is killing more innocent people daily with unnecessary fighting. The country needs to pull through the recession, get the economy back on track, and try to recover all the lost time and ground. Killing the enemy in the war isn't going to help us win. What's going to help us win this war is our economy, and until that comes up we will be the losers of the war.
